My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This skeleton of a dog is now appropriately named, "LUCKY." One of our veterinarian's clients thought she deserved that name, after she was brought in by a volunteer. We are sticking with the name Lucky, until we find one better suited, but right now that suits her fine!

Lucky is extremely weak, and we are all pulling for her today. We hope she makes it through the weekend. She needs your prayers and positive thoughts.

Thank you to Erin, Mary, Russell, Jennifer, Debby, her new foster dad Ian, and everyone else who pulled together to spring her from certain death.

We love you Lucky!!!

Update on Lucky 12/12/05
We have been very busy, and we are sorry we have not updated you on Lucky's progress for a few weeks. Lucky is doing excellent! She is very much a puppy still, and is still testing her bounderies. Lucky is very strong willed, and will need an owner that will not give in to her little antics. (Example: I guess she figures since she is now saved from being tied to a tree for the past 2 years, that the comfy couch is just for her!)
Lucky does pull on the leash, and is very strong for her size. She is going to need work on that. Lucky is doing well with other dogs but is very dominant. She will not do well with another dominant dog. We hope to pair her up with a male, that is a bit more submissive or let her be an only dog.
Lucky will not do well with cats, and probably not small animals or birds.
Lucky will be having a vet check up and then will be ready for adoption. She is still a work in progress, but has made a wonderful recovery. Please wish good thoughts for her.

Please email Michelle if interested in adopting Lucky!
