My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a stunning dog this is! She's dark brown with brindling or "ticking" on her lower legs. A little known breed to New England, hounds are typically used for hunting, but the few lucky ones who make it to our area enjoy wonderful, loving family lives. Hounds are gentle, playful, and silly. They have a puppy personality for years, and they seem to know how to make their owners smile with their antics. Hounds make great hiking companions, love the outdoors and being involved in all family activities, but once they're brought inside, are just as happy to laze around chewing on a bone or squeaking their toys.

Swift is about 4 months old and weighs just 22 lbs. Typical of the hound breed, she will be tall and leggy as an adult. If you're looking for a dog who will adore you, try her best to please you, and will make you smile every day, Swift would be a wonderful friend for you.

All dogs adopted from One Tail at a Time Rescue are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up to date with vaccines, have been wormed, and are ready to go to their new homes now. Unless otherwise noted, the dogs on our website are here in foster homes. We prefer adoptive homes in MA and NH -- we do not ship our dogs. Adoption fee $425
