Festus is an 11 y/o male who came to HBHR from NE Texas as an owner surrender. Festus is exactly what you think of when you hear the term ‘hound dog’. He is what you want to be sitting by your feet as you rock on the front porch watching fireflies!

Festus has good house manners and has learned the dog door without any difficulty. He gets along with the other beagles in the pack but is not very playful. He has a mission and that is to track down scents! He has a deep bay that he uses in short little barks when he catches that special scent!

Festus has a good appetite and is never late for dinner! He curls up for quiet time in the evenings and appreciates any loving you send his way. He is an easy-going boy who would love to have a home to call his own!
