Meet Buck! Also known as Buckey.
Buck is an approximately 5-6 month old pup who has a slight sight impairment. He sees some shapes and shadows, and he’s able to track when everyone is playing most of the time. He does quite well, and rarely runs into anything. Buck has a great outlook on life, and doesn't let his sight challenge slow him down one bit! He's a confident, smart and friendly little boy.
Buck is just a tiny guy, weighing roughly 20-25lbs. At full grown, he'll likely be less than 50lbs. He is dog social and loves sun bathing with his foster siblings. Buck is being crate trained, and is learning that his "private room" is his safe place. He is nearly able to sleep through the night, but usually wakes up once to let us know he needs to go potty. Buck is doing well with potty training, but as with any new dog, he'll need gentle guidance to learn where to do his business in his new home. He knows to go potty outside, but is also familiar with the use of potty pads.
Buck is currently available on a foster to adopt basis, since he not neutered yet. This requires a $187.50 non-refundable fee equivalent to 50% of our adoption fee as well as execution of foster-to-adopt contract. Once Buck is fully vetted with age-appropriate vaccinations, neutered and microchipped, the remainder of the adoption fee will be collected and the final adoption contract signed.
