Hi I'm Sharpie and I am a 13 month old Blue pitbull /Mastiff / Border Collie X. I am extremely athletic/playful and would like to find a family who can continue to take me for long walks/hikes in the ravine like my foster dad does! I am super rowdy in the morning and prefer to gobble up my breakfast before going outside to run around in the yard and do my business. I know how to sit, lie down, shake a paw, wait for my food and treats and am house and crate trained. I am so excited to be outside and explore, that I have a really hard time not pulling on my leash and do need extra training in this area! Even though I grew up near the white mud creek and enjoyed the off leash area since I was two months old, I became fearful of other dogs around the age of 8 months and am no longer comfortable playing with other dogs. Since I have been fixed though, I am doing better with slow introductions! As my foster Dad has a dog whom I love, I am sure I can become comfortable and playful again! I do enjoy downtime with some cuddles if you don't mind sharing your pillow as I am a super sweet and loyal guy!
Approx age: 13 months Breed: Blue pitbull /Mastiff/ Border Collie cross Energy level: high Good with dogs: not quite Good with Cats: met them and I'm curious but not aggressive Good with kids: yes but would recommend older kids

All adoptions begin with an adoption application, available here or on our website (or from one of our wonderful volunteers in person). The application is reviewed by the adoptable animal's foster home as well as by the appropriate coordinator (canine/feline) to assess how the animal will fit in your home. We endeavour to respond to all applications within 72 hours, but being 100% run by volunteers sometimes we need additional time--if you haven't heard back after 72 hours, feel free to contact us to check in on your application.
Canine Adoption Fees:
$450 for puppies under 1 year of age
$375 for dogs over 1 year & under 7 years
$300 for dogs 7 years and older
Feline Adoption Fees:
$250 for kittens and cats up to 12 months old
$200 for cats between 1-6 years old
$150 for cats 6 years old and older
Adoption fees help offset the cost to our organization of providing full medical care (including spay or neuter surgery) to each animal we adopt to a furever home.
