Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This gorgeous boy spent his life struggling to survive on the streets of Tijuana, until rescued by Wendy of Tijuana Paws and Whiskers Rescue. He's being listed as a special needs kitty because he is FIV positive, and can only go to a home with no other cats or only other FIV positive cats, as it is a lifelong condition of having a compromised immune system. However, Mister is in good health, and as long as he remains an indoor kitty, he will likely stay perfectly healthy. He is a sweet boy who is still getting used to people being nice to him. He loves being pet, and will allow you to pick him up. He loves people being around him and will cry when he's left alone too long. He is an agile jumper and would probably love a cat tree, but he doesn't have any interest in his scratching post. He is good about using his litterbox. He gets a crushed up vitamin and some probiotic powder in some canned cat food every morning. He is a big, beautiful, magnificent boy, about 12 pounds, with the most gorgeous green eyes. The photos don't really show how beautiful he is. He really needs a patient, experienced cat owner that isn't going to ask too much of him at first, as his playful side is just now starting to show. He's had a terrible life until now and is still figuring things out. I honestly don't know how he would be with dogs or other cats, though I suspect he would probably hide from them. I wouldn't recommend he go to a house with small children. He has been neutered and just needs a microchip. Please contact me directly if you think you can give Mister his forever home. He deserves a happy ending. You can email me at cmiller927@cox.net. Please put "Mister" in the subject line. Thank you for choosing adoption!

Additional adoption info
If the pet you choose to meet has been rescued in Mexico, I will always come up across the border so that you can meet them in the US (and take them home). All my rescues that I list as adoptable are fully vetted, socialized and ready for their forever families.

I am in the process of applying to become a Petco Partner and will hopefully be having adoption events at Petco and Unleashed stores in the San Diego, CA area in the future. More about this rescue
HI, I'm Wendy and I am the founder of Tijuana Paws n Whiskers Rescue, a 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue. I alone rescue dogs and cats on both sides of the border, focusing on the streets of Tijuana, Mexico where animals are often abandoned, sick, injured and starving. All my rescues are given the medical attention and love that they need to be ready for their forever homes in the United States. I moved from California to Tijuana with a dream of opening a shelter. I hope to make that dream a reality one day! As a small rescue, I am always in need of fosters and donations. I am in the process of creating a website for my rescue, but in the meantime you can also email me at tjpawrescue@yahoo.com. You can also find me on Instagram at @tijuanapawsnwhiskersrescue. Thank you so much for choosing adoption and saving a life!
