PLEASE scroll down and read the ENTIRE BIO. It is lengthy but has ALL INFO we know. Emailing and asking for more info is only going to hold up your process and risk your chances of the dog you want being gone.
CHARLIE is being fostered in Salem, OH. HE is fully vetted including neuter/rabies/ Bordetella/ DHLPP/ microchip/rabies/worming/heartworm Lyme test/heartworm-flea prevention while in rescue.
We do not ship dogs, we do not transport dogs, we do not hold dogs. You must be ready to adopt within 72 hours upon approval.

Hi Folks, I sure appreciate y'all stopping by to check me out. But how could you not??? I mean, I am one handsome dude!! Please read my entire bio and do not apply to adopt me based solely on my looks, breed mix and size. First of all, you should know that I came from an extremely loving background. My owners loved me so much that once they realized that I require more space, time and training they reached out to rescue in the hopes that they could find me a home that would be able to allow me to reach my optimal potential. I had been living in a small home with 4 other humans (2 of which were kids). It was a bit hectic so if you have kids, I will prefer older (over age of 12), calmer ones. Since I am still a puppy (albeit a large one lol), I am still learning my doggie manners and wouldn't want to accidentally knock a smaller one down. Other dogs...yup, I like them too so a home with other dogs would work for me! I LOVE me some human attention (as is the norm for me) so a home without dogs would be fine too. I don't recall ever meeting any of the feline persuasion, so not sure about that. Let's briefly discuss my heritage. I was "conceived" on a farm and my mom was a Great Pyrenees. Based on my looks and temperament my dad was a yellow lab. You may be thrilled to know that I am potty trained and will let you know with a "bark". or a tiny nip on your hand. But keep in mind that a new home will mean new schedules so patience and consistency will be key until I am familiar with my new home. Oh yea, I will also give you a "woof-woof" if you are taking too long to prepare my cuisine! I do great on car rides, providing you have a large enough vehicle! I enjoy checking out the scenery and will then curl up for a nap. I do ok on my walks but am very inquisitive and want to check out alllll the smells that I can find. I have been told to warn you that if there is an open door, I will take the opportunity to head of it. Afterall, an open door may supply me with new adventures!! I have never been crated as my previous family never saw the need, so if you plan on crating me, we will have to work together on that. My biggest asset?? I absolutely LOVE laying with you, on you, being all "up on your grill" and am a known serial love bug! I love receiving as well as handing out hugs! I have shown zero aggression. Since I am 1 yr old, I am pretty much past that chewing phase but have been known to pick up a stray sock or two if left haphazardly laying around the house. But I refer to that as a "crime of opportunity" aka not my fault! Now, I am being forced to mention that I can be very stubborn....if I don't want to take a walk, I won't budge, if I don't want to go for a ride in the car, I won't budge! I'm getting the vibe that this can be a bit frustrating for you humans. With that in mind, it would serve me (and you) well to enroll me in some basic training classes. I suppose I could use some insight into who should be in charge, evidently it shouldn't be me?? I love to run; play be outside, lay in the sun, and oh yea, i love mud!! Elk antlers are my favorite chew toy along with my jolly ball. Don't forget those Kong toys stuffed with peanut butter if you plan on leaving me for a long period of time! I am also a huge fan of spa days!! Yup, unlike some of my species I love going to the groomers. So, to recap, I love all humans, older respectable kids, other dogs, and tons and tons of love!!
