My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Farley!

Hello everyone, my name is Farley. Like Chris Farley, but not quite as funny and not as famous. I'm around 12 years old and only weigh about 13 pounds, so much smaller than him, too! My old owner says I'm good with cats and dogs, but I've not been around children. As the story goes, I'd likely do okay with older kids who are calmer and more respectful than the youngins. I can get spooked easily with not seeing or hearing too well, so loud noises, and the running around they do might cause me to be more scared than not. I'm a good boy and do my pottying outside, and I will use potty pads inside if needed, with only a few accidents from time to time. If I get on a real good schedule, there should be no issues in that department!

I really enjoy cheeseburgers in moderation, of course, and going for walks, but nothing beats head scratches and nice long naps in the sunny spot of the house. Ideally, I'd like to have a fenced in yard, but I understand that isn't an option for everyone, and since I do well on a leash, that isn't a deal breaker. I'm not a fan of going for car rides or being picked up. I'm a shy little dude to begin with, but if my forever people will give me proper time to adjust and be patient with me, I'll become a sweet guy and melt your heart in no time! Do you have a place in your heart and patience to welcome a guy like me into your home?

Disclaimer: It is VERY difficult even for a veterinarian to tell the exact age of a dog over two years old. From one vet to another, we can get different age estimates on the same dog and they can vary by several years. We are only making an educated guess based on a few factors like teeth, fur color, and overall body condition, but for dogs who have not been given adequate vet care and food, it can be even more difficult. Every dog is an individual, and we do our very best to age appropriately but make no guarantees as to the age of any dog in our program.
