Here's what the humans have to say about me:
-Written by Wilber, a 5-month-old, 50lb male Great Pyrenees.
---------------------------------------------
Has it ever seemed that while you are alive you are not really living? I used to feel that way. I spent most of my days in a very small mud pen with my siblings. My siblings and I loved to wander around and it was too dangerous so we ended up being put in that pen and life kind of sucked. We were very dirty and very stinky. We also didn't have much exposure to the outside world. We knew our owner was trying to rehome us, but for some reason..no one never took any of us. They ended up reaching out to this rescue, and they said yes!
I thought I would be excited about the journey but instead, I was quite terrified. I had never been away from home and everything from the car to the new people to the new environment was scary to me. Once I realized that the people I met were all nice, I perked up a lot and loved all the attention they were giving me. Once I entered my foster home, I got to meet all these other dogs who were super sweet and nice. They have actually been helping me open up and learn all there is to know about being part of a family. They told me what cats are and how fun kids are, but I have never been around either of them. I am a pretty sweet boy, so think I would do fine with them though.
Cars are a new thing to me. I am still hesitant to get inside one, but once in I ride quite well. The other dogs have shared their experience about going places and it sounds fun. I have not been anywhere other than the vet, but think I would enjoy going places. I am a people dog and love everyone I meet. So, getting to go wherever my family goes sounds amazing. I have not been on any walks or hikes yet. Once I have more experience on the leash, I believe I would love getting to explore new places with my family.
I am on the playful side but not what you would call high energy. I am not interested in fetch but do love playing with toys. I am unsure if I am a water dog or not since I have not had the chance to play in any water yet. I am going to be a big boy...over 100lbs so I don't know if an apartment would be a good idea for me. I guess it would depend on the layout and my family's activity level. You can expect your typical puppy to chew with me, but I am also easily redirected. My new home should definitely be puppy proofed and have lots of toys for me though. So far, I have not been a big barker. Given my breed, that may change as I get older though. I am working on my potty and kennel training.
That is all I have to share about myself. I really hope that we are a match. In case you are interested in me, the app to adopt me can be found at https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3
Please I am begging you though, only apply to adopt me if you can keep me forever. If you can't keep me through ALL of life's changes, don't be the one that makes me have to be passed around a few months/years down the line. That just isn't fair to me.
I would NEVER give up on you, so please don't give up on me. I want to be your forever...not your until dog.

FROM HIS FOSTER MOM 🐾 ↓
~Wilber is a fun loving, goofy, playful pup! His favorite thing is his people...where they are he wants to be. He does love playing with other dogs, but his people come first! He is goofy and clumsy...he is growing into his big feet and long legs still. He's got the best heart and loves to lay next to you or in your lap...he's going to be a big lap dog! He brings smiles to everyone he meets faces. He will make a great, fun family member to whoever is lucky to add him to their family!
He'll do good in any home. I think he would like his people with him more often than not. Once he gets used to being out in the world he will love going everywhere with them.~
