My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beau
Foster/Home Needed – Long Island, NY

Meet Beau. He’s a sweet 9 yr old boxer mix. Beau had a very hard first 6 yrs of his life. He was found in the street, hit by a car. A local shelter took him in and treated him. They had him for 2 yrs where he had to be in a cage by himself
because he does not do well with other animals. Beau is a big boy; a 100lb gentle giant. A local elderly man heard Beau’s story, went to meet him and he fell in love. He brought Beau home in Aug 2020. He and his new dad were a perfect team!! They took multiple long walks every day, played fetch for hours and were great buds. Sadly, his dad passed away. Family took Beau in, but it isn’t working as he needs to be the only animal in the home. They are heartbroken because Beau is a very loyal, very sweet and very lovable. He’s also pretty smart! When he meets people, he sits & gives his paw to say hi. He knows his commands: stop, sit, give me your paw, drop it. He loves a good walk. He’s up to date with all his shots.

If you’re looking for a loyal, handsome, gentle giant in your life, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page or call the number listed below.
