My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sweeeeeeettt Caroline! She is truly a sweetheart and loves to stand up and dance to greet everyone she meets. Caroline was surrendered when her previous owners moved and couldn't take her with them. She is ready to find her forever home that will love her like she will love them.

Caroline is very eager to greet people and can pull and be a bit jumpy in her excitement. She is extremely athletic and is able to jump up to give face kisses. We think Caroline would be an amazing running partner or agility dog! She is very smart; we know she can be trained to learn proper manners on how to greet people. Besides loving up on her people, Caroline's favorite thing is to play ball. She will chase any kind of ball she can find. If she can't find a ball, she'll pick up another dog toy and carry it with her everywhere - even on walks! Caroline hopes to find a family that is as active as she is to play with her and let her explore. Good times will never seem as good if you don't have Caroline by your side.

Caroline does have a prey drive, so she will need a home without cats or other small critters. She has never lived with other pets in a home, so we do not know if she would like living with another dog. We may consider adopters with another dog if they have experience with integrating a new dog into their home safely. Caroline will need a home without young children, but older teens that are dog savvy should be fine.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process encompasses several steps in an attempt to ensure the best possible placement of an animal with the most appropriate home. In addition to an application and time spent with the dog of interest, a home visit with the candidate is also a step in the adoption. We do charge an adoption fee as well as require the execution of an adoption agreement.

More about this rescue

Canine Rescue of Central PA, Inc. is a nonprofit 501c(3), all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing assistance to any dog in a helpless situation. While a young organization, we have made tremendous progress in establishing another valuable resource for our furry friends. It is our mission to get involved in as many situations as possible to provide sanctuary, shelter, and homes to as many dogs as we can. We also are very focused on creating strategic partnerships with other rescues and similar organizations in an attempt to share resources as well as expand public awareness of the overwhelming problem of homeless animals.
