My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Millie!

Millie is a charming and lively 1.5 year old dog with an incredible passion for running and playing. Despite her high energy level, she also enjoys spending time with her human friends, cuddling up on the couch, and getting lots of love and attention. Millie is quite athletic and requires a 6-foot stockade fence as she can easily climb and jump over anything shorter. She is a strong chewer, so durable toys are a must. Millie is still learning how to walk on a leash without pulling and will require ongoing training to help her master this skill. She is already house-trained and crate-trained, making her the perfect addition to any home. While Millie doesn't do well around cats, she adores male dogs and will thrive in a home with a furry brother or two. Millie is a stunning dark chocolate color with one ear that stands up and the other that stays down. She is an absolute joy to be around and will make a wonderful companion to anyone who has the time and energy to keep up with her lively spirit.

Millie's story is even more inspiring and heartwarming. Millie was actually picked up by animal control as a stray, and while she was there, she gave birth to a litter of puppies. Shortly after giving birth, Millie caught a cold. Unfortunately some of her puppies caught the cold as well which was later diagnosed as Distemper (Millie was not diagnosed with Distemper). Sadly, some of her puppies did not make it, but five of them did, thanks to the loving care and attention they received from their foster! Millie is a survivor and a true testament to the resilience and strength of dogs. She is now ready for a forever home, where she can be loved and cherished for the rest of her life.
