Kai`s the kind of dog that will light up any room. He`s a happy, goofy, and loving boy. His priority is cuddles and getting attention from people. He just loves love! Kai still has some endearing puppy awkwardness left in him. He`s a bit of a dork! He likes to lean against you and rotate so you can pet him all over…but then he loses his balance! He likes to act like he meant to do that so you can rub his belly. He`s so adorable! He`s very affectionate and will give you kisses as you pet him. His puppyish excitement does make him jump…but he`s working on it. He`s also working on learning to sit on command for a treat. He`s making great strides! He`s very treat motivated. He gets along well with other dogs and loves having playmates. If you`re looking for a silly but sweet new best friend, Kai`s your guy!

Our regular adoption fee is $100 payable by money order or credit card. The fee covers basic vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, heart worm testing for dogs, and the spay/neuter surgery.

You will be required to sign to an adoption contract and other paperwork relating to the adoption of your new family member.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday 5 pm to 7 pm. We are also open on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
