My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Oreo is a beautiful pitbull mix. She is right at a year old and defiantly has the puppy energy. She loves to play with other dogs and toys. Oreo's best friend has moved on to her Furever home and she is sad and lonely. Oreo is up to date on her shots, spayed and chipped. She is mostly potty trained and kennel trained. Oreo is so ready to have a family of her own!

More about this rescue

West Side Animal League is a volunteer organization that rescues animals from various Fort Worth area shelters. We strive to accomplish our goal of responsible pet ownership by raising public awareness of the need to spay and neuter pets and holding adoption events, spending quality time socializing the animals and in many cases bringing them into our homes as fosters until they can find their own fur-ever home.

We provide vaccinations and medical care as funds are available. 100% of our expenses are covered by donations and adoption fees. We are only able to accomplish this through the generosity of both time and money from others who also want to make the world a better place for our furry friends. If you would like to find out about opportunities to help, call our League line at 817-565-8222 or go to our meetup site at Thank you for your support as we continue Working to Save Animal Lives!
