My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

-Written by Gaston, a 10-month-old 59lb male Aussie/Great Pyrenees mix.
---------------------------------------------

I love to love. I am your best friend. I am your cuddle buddy. I am your every step you make I will be their kind of dog. My name is Gaston and I am around 10 months old. I am on the hunt for my forever home. I would love a family that is home most of the day, on the more active side but also loves to cuddle, and hopefully has another playful dog or kids!

I came to PPFT because I had more energy than my owner was able to handle. They needed me moved ASAP, and thankfully a foster stepped up for me and I was welcomed to their fluffy butt family. I am on the more playful side BUT I do a great job of matching the energy of my family. I love to play, but if everyone else is settled down and calm, I will do the same. When we are up and moving around I love to play with the other dogs, do the zoomies outside, go for walks, and will hop right in the car for road trips! I do believe that I would LOVE going places with my family. I am 100% a velcro dog and love being wherever my people are. I am a big fan of adventure and would love going on walks and while I have never been..think hiking would be amazing! I would be okay living a more calm life as long as my new family had ways to keep me stimulated at home.

Speaking of home, I have good house manners. I am potty trained and have not been a big chewer. I am still young though so my new home should be puppy-proofed. I am not a big barker and will only bark if I hear the other dogs doing it. And even then I settle down quickly. I am the kind of dog that walks right by your feet so hopefully, my new family is agile ;) I just get so excited and want to make sure I am with you wherever you go. I will follow you outside, to the bathroom, and will even hop in bed with you! <3

While I love my people, I also enjoy the company of other dogs. I have a blast playing with them, especially when we play chase outside. I am less dependent on my owner if I have another doggie companion, but still, always make sure I am close by. I am good with cats but am also very playful with them and will give chase if they run. So, if my new family has other cats they should be dog savvy. I am not being fostered around kids, but my last home reported that I was best friends with a 7-year-old. I truly am a man's best friend, so I don't see why that wouldn't apply to kids too!

I don't quite understand fetch yet, but love love love toys so am sure that it wouldn't take me long to learn. I have not had the chance to play in any water yet but have the feeling that I may love it.

That is all I have to share about myself. I really hope that we are a match. In case you are interested in me, the app to adopt me can be found at https://www.emailmeform.com/builder/form/hx000BP7nbQvjHX49Uur80FV3

Please I am begging you though, only apply to adopt me if you can keep me forever. If you can't keep me through ALL of life's changes, don't be the one that makes me have to be passed around a few months/years down the line. That just isn't fair to me.

I would NEVER give up on you, so please don't give up on me. I want to be your forever...not your until dog.

FROM HIS FOSTER MOM 🐾 ↓

~When I think of Gaston I think of the very definition of a dog. He is loyal. He is cuddly. He is playful. He loves everyone. And he is just such a perfect boy! Gaston is good with other dogs, and cats, and his last family reported that he is good with kids.

He is definitely a velcro dog. Wherever you go, he goes and he is usually sticking close to your feet. He considers himself a lapdog, and you will always have someone to curl up to at night or curled up close to you during movie/showtime. When it comes to going places, Gaston will hop right into the car and rides well. He has pretty good leash manners and might be a little nervous meeting new people, but is very friendly. He loves toys and will keep himself entertained with them. Every time he starts playing with toys you can bet that the next time you look it will look like a toy bomb went off. They are everywhere, lol.

Gaston would be an amazing addition to any family that is home a lot, and ideally has another playful dog. He can handle being in a home with dogs that don't really play, but I think he misses having another dog to romp around and play with. However, if his new family were on the active side and home all the time I know he would be happy as an only dog as well. If you are looking for a family dog that is fun, sweet, and gorgeous...Gaston is the boy for you! <3 ~
