My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Michigan, Mitch for short.  Everyone who meets me loves my fabulous ears that have a life of their own currently.

I am a curious and playful puppy that enjoys playing with the two dogs and the humans in my foster home, and toys.  I'd also like to play with the cat, but the cat does not seem to want to play with me. We do share space at bedtime though and I do well with him.

Since I am a puppy, I have to be watched carefully as I like to chew, eat things I shouldn't, and dig.  I am usually good at being redirected to chew on my toys.  I nap in the common areas so long as people are home.  I have gotten this housebreaking thing down and have been accident free for a few weeks.  When foster people are not at home, I go into my kennel.  At night I sleep on the bed with humans and the cat of the house.  I wake up my foster mom if I need to go outside to potty.  I usually sleep well from about 9PM-5AM.

I've recently started walking with the other dogs in the house and have done well and am up to about a mile at each walk which is pretty easy for me.  I am working on basic commands of sit, off, down, come, and lie down.

When I was just a few weeks old, I had a skin infection on my tail that has been treated, but the fur is still growing back.

My. Adoption fee is $350 locally in Houston, TX. It includes all my age appropriate vaccines, neuter and microchip. Fill out an app at www.soca-fbc.org/adoptables.
