My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Layla!

The resilient and loving pup who has overcome a tumultuous past and is now looking for a forever home filled with love and affection. Although we don't know the details of the struggles she faced, we do know that she deserves a lifetime of happiness and care from this point forward.

Layla is a wonderful dog with a personality that is sure to warm your heart. She is quite independent and has mastered the art of using the doggie door, but she also loves to snuggle with her people. She is fantastic with other dogs and plays with them like a pro. And when she wants something, like dinner, she will let you know with her signature little yodel. She has even made great strides to get along with cats!

Despite the scars on her body from her past, Layla is a quiet and confident dog who loves to explore and meet new people. She is around 5 years old, house and crate trained, and has even shown her love for kids. She adores hanging out with our 5 year old and is exceptionally gentle with them. Layla has a special fondness for car rides and enjoys every moment of them. She's diligently working on improving her leash skills and relishes going on walks, making her an ideal companion for outdoor adventures.

This smart and confident dog quickly adapted to her new environment, mastering house boundaries and stairs with ease. Especially if her days will consist of lounging around and being by her peoples feet.

Layla's story is a testament to her resilience and her ability to trust and love again is truly inspiring. If you're ready to welcome a loyal and loving pup into your home, and if you can see past her scars to appreciate the incredible dog she is, then Layla is the perfect companion for you. She promises to fill your days with unconditional love, bring joy to your life, and create lasting memories, especially if you have children or love going on adventures together.
