My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola is 1.5 years old and a SUN cat because she is not completely socialized. She was born in the street and had babies at only 8 months old. She was rescued together with her beautiful kittens. Shy and beautiful Lola will need a loving and patient adopter willing to help her build confidence. She loves to be caressed but only when in her basket; once on the ground her confidence crumbles.

Lola will thrive with a calm owner or couple without children. She gets along with other cats, preferably young, as she looks for a playmate.

We are confident that given the right environment, Lola will blossom.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

You will be asked to fill out an adoption application and generally a telephone interview will follow. Next, a home visit will be performed to help "ready" your home for the new cat(s).

Supposedly Unadoptable Cats are special and we require adopters for this particular group of cats to be experienced cat people.

While we hope that the commitment you make will be life long, all cats adopted out through this initiative will be returnable for the life of the cat.

More about this rescue

We believe that every cat deserves to be cared for whether they play with you, curl up in your lap, or prefer to hang out by themselves or with other feline companions.

Please visit our website for additional information at www.ConnersCauseForCats.org.

Conner's Cause is sponsored by Give Me Shelter Project, Inc. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue, education and advocacy organization. You can learn more about Give Me Shelter Project by visiting our website: www.GiveMeShelterProject.org.

Conner’s Cause is an initiative that Give Me Shelter Project has launched to try to find loving forever homes for the Supposedly Unadoptable Cats that currently reside in animal shelters and with rescue groups.

Our organization has generally defined "supposedly unadoptable cats" as those who range in temperament from semi-friendly to semi-feral. For the purposes of this initiative, we have broadened our definition of “supposedly unadoptable cats” to include other categories of cats that are difficult to place in adoptive homes. These include: seniors, handicapped, FIV+, FeLV+, cats with treatable and untreatable illnesses.

We invite you to consider adopting a "Supposedly Unadoptable Cat". Please join “Conner’s Cause” and BRING HOME THE MAGIC!
