06-12-23 ADOPTED IN THE SOUTH: The rescue job is rewarding and different stories that evolve take us to another way of rescuing and every once in a great while we get to help dogs that never experienced anything other than love.

Beaux is born on 11/25/22 and weighs about 15 lbs. His story and that of his siblings are like many in the south. A wonderful owner that love and cares for their dogs was accidental pregnant before they could get her fixed. In order for them to be sure that these pups found loving homes, the family loving animals like all of us, asked RDVG for help placing them in adoring family homes. Beaux is with our rescue partner and gets lots of love and care.

Beaux’s foster tells us that he is laid back, well behaved and loves children. She loves it when he comes up to her and snuggles. He is very content with life, as long as you are touching him, he won’t move. He is young and shy but for him "Life is a box of chocolates" full of surprises because he knows that life can lead to outcomes, many of them will be something nice that he may not have expected.

Foster mom says this guy is very gentle and enjoys his time with his humans very much. He likes it almost as much as he likes going on an adventure with her littermate’s brothers and sisters! He is very loving, attentive, and following foster mom all over! He is a puppy and has lots of energy, but can quickly settle down and become a very large and loving lap dog!

All dogs, like humans, have certain traits, however, it is important to know that dogs and humans, regardless of the breed or ethnic group, are all social family oriented and their characteristics are only one of their many awesome qualities.

When choosing a pet for your family, the potential breed is important to research so that you find your perfect fit as well as the dogs. The Catahoula Leopard Dog are playful at home and a multi-purpose working dog that is well-muscled and powerful with a sense of endurance. They are a  medium-large, short-coated dog, known for its many varied coat and eye colors and patterns. Catahoula’s are the only breed of dog to have historically originated in the state of Louisiana. They know their place in the family unit, they are affectionate, loyal, and gentle. Also called the Catahoula Hog Dog, they are often used as watchdogs, guard dogs, and of course as loyal companions. The Catahoula pairs nicely with the sleekly beautiful Bluetick Coonhound.

The Bluetick hound has a sweet-tempered, active and an affectionate charmer who might enjoy snoozing in the shade. They are a native to the United States that sports a trademark ticked pattern on its short, smooth coat. These dogs generally have a friendly, sweet, and loyal disposition. They are used both for hunting and companionship. Above all, this breed belongs in an active home where there is plenty of access to explore the outdoors. The droopy-eared charm of Blueticks is irresistible. They crave affection and are deeply devoted to those who provide it.

Bluetick tend to have a very affectionate temperament with their owners. They also can get along well with other dogs. As high-energy dogs, they need lots of exercise every day their hardwired impulses can develop serenading the neighbors with loud, mournful 'music’, so an active family is best!

Take a deep, if you have never owned a hound, dive into the hound dog breed world with Beaux and discover the behavior and personality that makes him such a beloved family member—this breed has got it all and one of the most popular breeds in the USA

Beaux is best described as a happy go lucky guy, eager to run, play and jog with you. He is a polite and loving little boy and loves his foster’s 10 year old granddaughter. If you’re looking for an easy dog, then he is right for you. Nothing would be better than curling up with Beaux at the end of the day.

Get your application in, he will not disappoint you as a companion and family member!
