My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sophia is a super sweet 3-4 year old girl looking for her perfect forever home. She is independent and does great with a routine. She loves walking on her leash. She doesn't have a prey drive and is good with most dogs. She does best with a slow intro to other dogs so she isn't a dog park dog, but is so wonderful with her family once comfortable. Sophia cherishes the friendship of her little foster sister. Their bond is pure and full of love, as they eagerly await each other's company every day. Sophia patiently waits for her to come back from school every day. Sophia enjoyings cuddles, scratches, hugs, and kisses!

Sophia enjoys the backyard and truly explores every inch of it. She is potty trained and also trained to use the dog door. She follows all the instructions given to her, and she is a super sweet, calm, and balanced dog. She is not hyperactive; instead, she enjoys walking, sleeping in her bed, or simply accompanying her foster mom during the day. She is bilingual - she speaks English and Spanish as well!

Sophia does do well while out and about as well! She has done great on leash at various adoption events such as vegfest and at local breweries.

sophia can't wait to meet her forever family!

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs and cats come spayed/neutered and vaccinated! Some of the pups will only have their first round of shots and may need rabies if they are under 3 months old. But other than that, these babies come ready to go! Our adoption fees vary, please inquire about each dog's individual fees. We do have cats and kittens available from time to time, so please inquire if you are looking for a feline pal! With their vetting, flights and care, we only ask for the adoption donation to help offset costs and make sure our adopters are serious. We love our rescues like we love our family. They mean the world to us and we just want to see them in good loving homes! And please check back as we are always adding new rescues to this page.

More about this rescue

We approach each every situation with an open mind. We work to build respect and trust with the partners, communities and countries we work in. With their acceptance, we build a plan together to meet the most pressing issues. We listen, learn and solve the needs together. We look for solutions that are integrated, scale-able, and sustainable. At Compassion Kind, we work with governments, institutions, local leaders, civil society organizations, foundations and businesses around the world to ensure that the most vulnerable beings are heard, and that they get the assistance they need to sustain from within the communities. Our teams and partners advocate for capacity building training and grass roots techniques so we make a lasting impact, create measurable change and operate as efficiently as possible.
