Johnnie ... no kids, good w dogs, savvy owner because he can be quirky and you need to read his cues.

Johnnie was returned today after 8 months in a home . Johnnie is a lot like my own pup, Herschel. Herschel doesn't like to be handled or pet or will bite. Who knows the reason, it doesn't really matter why... I know and respect my dogs triggers and don't get bit. He's my baby and always wants to be close, just on his terms. Just like Johnnie. We will be working w a trainer for Johnnie.  He's a senior, shih tzu who is blind in one eye. Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you!
