My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trinity is a shy but very sweet and loyal dog. Her playful side has started to come out in the play yard where she`ll have mini zoomies and play with toys. She is leash trained and has never shown any dog reactivity on walks and is a very calm and easy dog overall.

Indoors, Trinity loves to chew frustration and stress away in a quiet place. She seems to be crate trained and takes her toys in there and lays down.

Trinity has lived with dogs in the past and could go to a home with a calm dog. A meet and greet is recommended to make sure that both pups are a good match.

Her previous owner said that Trinity loves paddleboarding and swimming, and that she knows many commands: sit, stay, down, come, shake and rollover.

Come meet this precious girl and see her flourish in a home setting. She will be forever loyal to you.

Additional adoption info

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day!
For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites.
For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.

Adoption Fees:
$80 cats & kittens up to 6 years old
$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
$30 small animals
No fee for senior pets 7 years and older

Go meet their pets

The Austin Animal Center is open for adoptions every day from 11:00am to 7:00pm. We're closed Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Thanksgiving Day to give our staff some time with family.
Interested adopters should come to the shelter during business hours to meet with a counselor start looking for a pet who'll be a good fit. Our counselors and volunteers are happy to help with that process.

More about this shelter

Austin Animal Center is the largest open-intake animal shelter in central Texas and we work very hard to try to save 90% or more of the thousands of animals we shelter every year. We always need volunteers and both monetary and in-kind donations to help us in our sheltering and prevention activities. Visit our website to find out how you can help!
