My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Delilah is a sweet, loving, and intelligent dog. I adopted her from a shelter in Killeen, TX back in January 2021. When I got her they estimated she was about 2. She is very healthy, at a perfect weight. I believe she’s a Indian Pariah Dog

I’m looking to find Delilah a new family is because she spends a lot of her time locked up. She doesn’t like to be left out of her crate. Also, I’m starting to travel more for work, so it’s becoming a challenge.

She can be a little territorial about her cage, but only when she’s in it and a stranger walks near it. Also, if a stranger walks towards us she’ll lunge, unless they have a dog and she wants to play. She’s ok on the leash, but not perfect. These can be resolved with basic training or changes (like getting her comfortable with staying out of the crate).

I could write a million good things about her, but want to be transparent about the challenges. It deeply saddens me that I need to re-home her but I want her to have the best life.
