My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beautiful Berdie is looking for her forever family, and wants her new people to know these 9 things about her:

1) I am an American Bulldog, and I am about 4 years old.

2) I am a super social girl that really likes almost everyone I meet.

3) I think I would do well in a home with children over 8, as long as they weren’t too loud or rambunctious and had some previous experience/training with big dogs.

4) I generally tend to ignore other dogs, but one time I met a canine that I really didn’t care for, and it did not end well. Therefore, I think it would be best if I could be the only dog in my new family’s house.

5) I am certified feline-friendly. My current foster home has a very large cat and we cohabitate peacefully in a small apartment.

6) The words that best describe me are sweet, affectionate, and mellow.

7) My favorite things to do are hanging with my people, exploring the yard, playing with toys, and getting belly rubs.

8) I am housebroken and crate-trained, and I am amazing on a leash. I also know basic obedience and have perfect recall!

9) I am fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped.

Ready to give Berdie the forever home of her dreams? Fill out our Adoption Application, located at The Bullpen Way Station & Sanctuary under the 'work with us' tab.

We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation.

Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-served basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.
