Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Cammie (the Doxie) but sometimes they call me “getbackhereâ€. I am an adorable girl, looking for a place to be loved because my previous humans were in their sunset years and couldn’t take care of me.
I may not be winning any fetch awards, but I will definitely win over your heart with my mad snuggling skills. If a night with snacks, snuggling, fur kisses and my head in your lap is your thing, we may be a perfect match.
I am very calm overall, unless someone rings the door bell, then I will notify you that we have visitors.
If you take me for a walk, I promise I will stop and smell every single bush until I get on your nerves and you tell me that's enough. I am potty trained and will let you know when I need to go out. I prefer to be with you rather than in a crate. I love treats (don't all Dachshunds?). For some reason I had to train my foster mom on this one, and believe me, humans are not easy to train!
My foster parents are empty nesters so I haven't been around kids or cats. I was the only dog in my previous home and that's my preference for my new digs. I love to go on car rides and am very calm and respectful in the car.
