Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Machiavelli is a gorgeous 1.5-year-old floofer. It's easy to see how people are so immediately drawn to him but our Machiavelli gives fair warning when he's not ready for your love and will (mostly) politely ask you to pump your brakes, which we totally understand! Machiavelli is looking for a patient and cat savvy adopter who can respect Machiavelli's but also someone that can help him grow. Treats and toys (not surprising) are the way into this handsome boy's heart. Once he's warmed up, he will turn on the charm and you'll easily understand why all good things take time.

While Machiavelli does well with cats that visit his space, Machiavelli is a former community cat who has taken time to get adjusted to the indoor life with humans being better friends than he could ever have imagined. We initially did not think he needed a cat friend in his forever home but his friendship with some of our other resident cats has opened our eyes to his preference for having a snuggle buddy around.

Please note that although Machiavelli is clearly a looker, our rescue will be very selective about any potential adopters. We want to ensure that his future caretaker will know that he is not the easiest of kitties and will need patience, time and encouragement to thrive in the right environment.
