My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nikki
Such a sweet gal! Nikki was turned into the Pom Palace because they were moving and could not take her. We were told that she does not like strangers and men. But once she gets to know you she is super sweet and loving. She does get along with my husband and will let him walk her, but I have to put on her harness. During the first 5 days here she stayed on her bed and would run outside to the bathroom. We have pads here and I am sure they would use them at night. Now she goes outside to potty. She is accustomed to a backyard. .
According to her paperwork, she will turn 5 later this year. From her paperwork poor baby girl Nikki has already been in 4 homes (including out care) and you will be her 5th. Looks like she was adopted from the former shelter that was Dewey Dr. Do not know why she ended up with the second owner, but we were told that they were drug users and were sometimes homeless. This is probably where Niiki learned to be afraid of new people. The people that turned her in, rescued her but now she is hopefully going to have a furever home with you.
We took her to the self-wash and she was fine with people around her, We did not let anyone try and pet her. She went to Walgreens inside and was great, just stayed right by me.
She will stake out a place in the house and stay there with her bed during the adjustment period.
At first, she does not eat much, just make sure she has plenty of fresh water. Potty trained for outside and (kinda) inside pads (might have some accidents in the beginning during the adjustment period.)
