Hi, my name is Benton. I am a 9.5 year old red merle, neutered male Australian Shepherd. I might be on the older side, but I still have a lot of years left and energy to burn! I love to play frisbee, ball, and play with my jolly ball a lot!! I am looking for a calm, low traffic home to enjoy my golden years in. I would love to take care of a farm and I have experience with poultry and cats. I will need some guidance when new people come over, as my herding tendencies get the best of me and I have been known to nip an intruder or two when left to my own devices. I settle down well in the house, and love pillows!! I have a favorite blanket to calm myself down when I get a bit anxious. I love to wade in a river, and will swim after a stick when it is hot outside.
I do well with dogs of all sizes off my property, but can be controlling of resources within the home. I would do best as an only pet or with other calm dogs who will allow me to control things. I much prefer a home with no young children (I am kind of frightened of them), and not a lot of people coming and going. I am wary of strangers at first, but come around pretty quick if given guidance. I am a fun guy to have around, and I am looking for a quiet place to call my own. Could you be the one for me?
