My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One of our local rural shelters got a call about some dogs running loose and when they went to the house they got a big shock. There was 43 Chihuahua's in a house that had rats running around and of course the mess was terrible. The house was actually condemned. The shelter put a plea out for help as they had no room for that many dogs plus they were already full. We rushed straight out and took as many as we could and other rescues came in to help too. All of the dogs seemed very friendly and a good weight. It was the conditions these poor babies were living in. The ammonia from pee was terrible and we don't believe these guys were ever let out. Mocha is a pure bred Chihuahua about 5 years old and 8.5lbs. We are working with him on going outside with a leash as it is all new to him. His eyes look a little different and we believe this is from all the ammonia in the house. He is not blind and gets around just fine, he is just a little different. Mocha is very sweet and loving, loves to be held.
He is fixed, micro chipped, all shots, monthly prevention, heartworm/tick tested and had a dental. We are hoping to do a transport on Saturday 30th May.

All of us in the rescue have full time jobs as well as running the rescue so if you are interested in Mocha please go to our website www.doginghampalacerescue.org for our application. Then email the application back to doginghamrescue@aol.com. The fees on our website are very out dated, we are waiting on the lady to update everything. Since covid hit, it is hard to get into vets offices and prices have gone way up. The adoption fee and transport fee is explained below.

We are based in the Nashville, TN area and have most of our dogs transported up north. The $400 adoption fee does not include the transport fee (will have a health certificate too). The transport fee is $200, so a total of $600. The transport fee is not refundable if things do not work out.
