Here's what the humans have to say about me:
LOOKING FOR FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT ONLY:
Cappuccino (Cappy) is a sweet 2 year old lab/mastiff mix who comes to PAWS from a humane society in NJ. Unfortunately, CAppy tested positive for heartworm so we are looking for someone to foster him for a minimum of 4 months while he undergoes treatment. Treatment consists of giving him a daily pill in his food and bringing him to PAWS for an injection at 30 days and a 2nd at a later date.
Cappy should ideally go to a single family home where there are no dogs, cats or young children. He is not symptomatic, but needs to be kept calm while undergoing treatment. He can go on short daily walks, but the goal is to keep his heart rate down.
Cappy walks well on a leash, and when healthy, plays well with other dogs. He can be timid and nervous at first, but once he warms up, he is affectionate and good natured. He is a great dog ,and fostering him would be a great opportunity for someone interested in adopting him down the road or just interested in giving him a quiet place to recover for the next 4 months.
