My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

2 years and 6 monhs, approx 35lbs :: Special Adoption: Very shy and skittish with people and new environments due to previous neglect. Needs an experienced and patient adopter, ideally with other dogs in the home:: Dogs: does great with just about any dog. Has lived with dozens. Cats: likely fine Kids: because of skittishness, we recommend older kids or no kids so that doors aren't left open or leashes aren't dropped leading to a very difficult dog to trap New People: fearful but not mean. 8 dogs came in from a neglect situation. They were not interacted with much and so people are less familiar for all of them. Not aggressive or mean, just uncertain and skittish Ankylo barks as his initial greeting, but he quickly comes up to see what you have. Whether it is for food or pets, he is cautious and gentle. He loves both and he wants to be your friend, but it will take time and patience. Ankylo enjoys playing with others and has done great meeting other dogs. He has completely filled out now and is so ready for his forever home. Don't let his barking fool you, he is a sweet man looking for love. He is still nervous and uncomfortable, but has gained his voice and plays some with with the others from his group. He has met other dogs decently. He is gaining weight and eating well.May 5, 2024, 12:07 am
