My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Opera is your ideal laid back house cat, who hangs out in comfy beds and gazes out sunny windows. While he isn't a fan of being picked up or cuddled, she's incredibly sweet and friendly. She'll greet her human friends at the door, likes hanging out in close proximity to them, and LOVES getting some good head scritches. She's pretty quiet, but she was named Opera by the man who found her outside because she certainly knows how to sing when it comes time for a meal. She also "smiles" when pet on the head — she opens her mouth to show her front teeth and closes her eyes!

Opera spends most of her time in a cozy cat hut/bed; she likes being in secluded spaces. She's a pro at finding the weirdest places to nap. On occasion she'll get the zoomies and will go WILD for those little foil-like crinkle ball toys. Her eyes grow so big when she hears that crinkle!

Opera is friendly with other cats, but has not yet had the pleasure of meeting a dog. She can be a little hesitant at first with new cats since she's a little shy, but settles in easily and is nice to other cats. She raised a litter of kittens outside before coming into the rescue with them, and when they were adopted she took two new foster kittens as her own. She even nursed them! Then she played mother to yet another foster kitten. She's a sweet and loving orange girl who's ready for a life of quiet relaxation (and crinkle balls) in her forever home!

More about this rescue

Kitten Snatchers is a volunteer-led, nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing Philadelphia's stray cats and kittens. Founded in 2020, we provide foster homes to cats found on the street or surrendered to ACCT, and we care for them until they can find their "fur"ever homes.

Our success is only made possible thanks to the hard work of our team of experienced and new fosters who open their homes to cats in need.
