My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mateo!
He is a 6-pound sweet stunning little guy that joined the rescue with 4 family members after they lost their person. Sad. Mateo has a blue eye and a brown eye as his dog's family does too. He is battling skin issues, among other minor health issues but is on the road to recovery with good nutrition and good skin care provided by his wonderful foster mom. Mateo is happy and besides the obvious, he is in great health. Mateo is social and great with dogs of all sizes, cats, and people. Including children. He's just a happy active social butterfly.

***All pets must be supervised by an adult when around children***
Mateo will require grooming and his skin will require attention as it improves. Mateo will be happier with another pet or at least with the ability to socialize with another pet regularly. Mateo is believed to be 2/3 years old at most if not younger.

Mate is house and crate trained but will need a routine and tentative approach, up-to-date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona and 1 or 3-year rabies,  dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.

Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.

Previous adopters of AHS have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again.  Donation of their choice is welcomed.

Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must.

Adoption process information can be found on our website
www.animalhousesanctuary.org

Name your price adoption with a minimum required fee. The adoption fees vary. $400 unless there is a promo fee/sponsored announcement.
