My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our sweet boy Saul. Your next forever best friend. And he won't disappoint. He is believed to be 2/3 years old Maltese chihuahua blend. If not younger. He is 1 of 4 recently rescued after the loss of their human. He is a sweet boy, that came to us with who we believed to be all siblings. All have a similar appearance in certain ways by looks, but Saul, has some limited visual circumstances that go beyond his bi-color beautiful eyes, he seems unable to fully focus his eyes in the same direction. Saul has no mobility problems and he can get around perfectly fine. He adjusts well with no accommodations. He might have low vision but he does not care. He lives life happily. Saul is getting his skin cared for and up to better health. Good nutrition and quality care from his foster mom and he will be better in no time. So I suggest getting your application in now. Saul is affectionate, playful outgoing, and happy. With his visual acuity not being perfect, he will benefit from an adopter who is understanding. Awesome if familiar with pets with low vision but not a must. And best children that are chill calm collective dog friendly and mellow. Saul is 10 pounds, full of happy energy, snuggles for miles, and endless cuddles. He loves his humans, he is sweet and easy with everyone he meets. He walks great on a leash. He's okay being held but not too much, just enough. He is crate and house-trained but needs constant potty breaks until he adapts to a routine. He is great with cats and dogs of all sizes, and every human he meets.

Saul is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona and 1 or 3-year rabies,  dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.

Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.

Previous adopters of AHS have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again.  Donation of their choice is welcomed.

Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must.

Adoption process information can be found on our website
www.animalhousesanctuary.org

Name your price adoption with a minimum required fee. The adoption fees vary. $400 unless there is a promo fee/sponsored announcement.
