My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our sweet soulful Happy with so much ❤️ to share, Henry! One can look at a dog and our souls connect. This is Henry. He is patiently waiting for his happy forever soul mate to adopt him. Sometimes a song comes into your head, This guy makes you think of every "sweetheart song." He is the sweetest calmest but a happy-go-lucky boy with his sweet face and floppy ears that make him look like a perpetual puppy. He is soft like a stuffed plush toy, a chunky monkey with lots of personality! He's soulful with a deep old soul. He came to rescue when his person passed away, with 5 other pets. 4/6 came to Chihuahua Rescue. All these pets were having some issues with their skin but were probably not fed the best nutrition or sanitized surroundings but it's clear they were loved. All have amazing personalities, all are outgoing, overall healthy, social, sweet, and loving toward all they meet Since being fostered at the Sanctuary Henry is eating well and doing well socially. He is learning about house manners, but mostly he is doing great at being a very happy boy. He is cat, dog, and people-friendly. He walks great on a leash and getting better.

Henry will do best in a home with other pets and he will be OK with older, respectful kids.**All children and pets must be supervised at all times** Henri will benefit from a good routine, good food, and adequate exercise.

Henry is house and crate trained but will need routine and continued support to adjust to his new surroundings, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto & corona and 1 or 3-year rabies,  dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped including free registration for life, spay/neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.

Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.

Previous adopters of AHS have the first choice and are not expected to pay another adoption fee again.  Donation of their choice is welcomed.

Training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a must.

Adoption process information can be found on our website
www.animalhousesanctuary.org

Name your price adoption with a minimum required fee. The adoption fees vary. $400 unless there is a promo fee/sponsored announcement.
