My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tinsley is an incredibly smart, sweet, and sensitive girl who will make a devoted companion! This bright girl loves to be the center of attention and knows how to get what she wants! She can’t wait to find her forever home!

Tinsley absolutely loves her people. She can be a bit nervous in new situations and when meeting new people, but when her handler is calm and confident, she feels much more at ease and opens up quickly. Saying hello to her people is very exciting and she will need help learning not to jump when greeting people.

Tinsley would love to have a confident dog friend in her home. She loves playing and has a rough and tumble play style with other dogs. A friend who appreciates a good tussle and can be tolerant of her silly antics would be her ideal match. Bonus points for a home with a large yard to romp in with her friend, and tall fences she won’t be able to jump over!

This inquisitive girl LOVES to use her nose! Tinsley is all about getting her sniff on and being able to thoroughly investigate new environments. She would have a blast doing scent work! She is very smart, eager to please, and picks new things up quickly. She’s also very athletic and can jump HIGH when motivated. Agility courses could also be really fun for her!

Once she gets her energy out, Tinsley is more than content to curl up on the couch next to you. Snuggles or lounging close to her human while they work is her favorite way to relax! She isn’t very comfortable being left alone and would be happiest in a home where someone is home most of the time. She has been making progress being comfortable in the crate, but will need some help to continue doing well.

Tinsley is great in the car and will make the perfect copilot. She would love to visit quiet places where she can sniff and investigate to her heart’s content!

We estimate Tinsley to be around 3 years old and weighs about 55 pounds. She is a pit bull type dog who radiates happiness! If you are looking for a dog to dazzle you with their sweetness and smarts, then Tinsley is your girl!

More about this rescue

Forgotten Dogs Rescue is a volunteer and foster home based rescue organization focused on saving Pit Bull type dogs. Located in Washington State, we are a 501c3 non-profit and have been saving animals since 2011. We are dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned dogs who are in Washington's shelters, surrendered by their owners due to difficult circumstances or are in danger of abuse or neglect.

We save the dogs that need help the most, the dogs whose time has run out, the dogs who have lost all hope — the forgotten dogs.
