Hi, I'm Nana. My story starts with 1st responders showing to a house engulfed in flames. They found me trying to get back into that house because my dad was in there. I struggled with them best as I could but they wouldn't let me go save him.
The 1st responders took me to a big building with lots of other dogs inside. I wasn't sure where I was, but I was a good girl and didn't give the people there any trouble. There were all kinds of dogs there purebred German Shepherds, Huskies and lil ol me, just a mutt.
My rescue peeps knew odd's of me making it out of there alive we very small. They knew my story was one of love, loyalty and loss and they couldn't let it end there, so in they dove to get me out.
I love and have a strong bond to my person. I love my foster family with all my heart, but one of there dogs who is larger than me, well we just can't seem to get along. The smaller dog and me became best buds, but there just isn't harmony in their home with me there. If it weren't for that they would keep me there. :-(
I'm a loving easy girl, I just need a permanent home to live the last chapters of my journey. If you are looking for a loved one that is just happy to be with you, take a few walks together, chill and watch TV and love you with all my heart, well I'm your girl.
Please contact my rescue peeps at info@starfishrescue.net. I would love to meet you.
A heart felt Thank you -- Love -- Nana

Starfish Dog Rescue – Why We Do It
Our belief is we were put on this earth to be good stewards. Those of us who put the core of our very being into helping as many of the abused and abandoned angels that we can simply believe this is what should be done. It is a dauntless journey, but even the strongest among us have times when we crater and fall. The pain, the suffering and shear numbers that lay before us each and every day can become the title wave that brings us to our knees.
So why do we do it? Because when the day is done and we still for a moment, we look into the eyes that would not be open, we watch the tug of war that would not be taking place, we witness the joy of a simple romp in the grass, we see the safe contentment of laying in a comfy bed that would otherwise be empty and we smile for those few that we were able to save.
Some days we get a picture sent by the proud parents of those who have been placed in a loving home by our hand, and “behold it was very good.” We smile with renewed strength and determination to start the next day and make a difference for one more.
