Willow found herself all alone and trying to survive the cold/lonely streets of Olmsted Falls/Twp., Ohio since October 2022 that we are aware of; she was trapped by Remi's Pet Recovery on 3-17-23. Willow was severely emaciated and found to be heartworm positive. Despite this girls horrific journey of survival, she is one of the sweetest gals you'll ever meet. She is currently under the care of our Veterinarian and is in the process of her heartworm treatment; we follow the CDC recommended guidelines for HW protocol & she will be getting her 1st injection May 22nd- she will rest for 30 days & will then receive her 2nd & 3rd inj. We are starting the process & looking for her forever home. Willow is currently doing great in her foster home with (3) other Great Danes/cats! She is being fostered in Brook Park, OH. We anticipate Willow will make a full recovery and Remi's is committed to her health & well being. She will absolutely need to be on heartworm prevention year-round; that is a requirement. She has not had the best start in life but we will make sure her life from here on out is the best it can be. Willow is skittish around new things, places and ventures but with the right, experienced handler & education, we are confident Willow will make a great addition to the right family looking for a large-breed gentle giant & for that reason we will require a home with no small children. Willow did great for her TV debut on the set of Cribbs in the CLE- Live with Josh & Maria Cribbs who featured Remi's & Willow on April 25th 2023.
