This sweet girl is "Walker dog". She was called this name for over a year while being a stray and running and she answers to it very well. She loves to give kisses and get butt scratches. She is always smiling and wagging her butt when she sees people that she knows around. She will require a home with a fenced in yard and no cats or dogs. She would be good with kids that are a bit bigger as she will take a bit of patience and lots of love to trust. She loves to lay next to you and play with toys. She likes treats mostly when laid on the ground in front of her. She is learning to walk on a leash and doesn't like to be crated for very long. Our adoption fees range from $35-$125, which includes a microchip. If the dog/cat is not vaccinated or spayed/neutered before adoption, you have 30 days to set appointment and return paperwork to WCHS. We also require a copy of your drivers license to attach to your adoption file.

We are 1 of 3 Humane Society AND Animal Control facilities in the state of Illinois. We are a private organization that is contracted with our county and several localities within our county to provide animal control services. We have 2 full time employees and 2 part time employees that care for our furry friends daily.
