Meet our silly guy named Draco! Draco is about 1 year old, and he was surrendered to our shelter after his family realized they could not give him the proper care and attention he needs. He is a very friendly boy who is outgoing when meeting people. Draco has spent most of his short life living in a garage at night, and running around in a fenced in backyard during the day. He gets very excited when he meets people and he is a social boy. Draco would absolutely love a family who will give him a comfy bed and a warm home to live in. He is a playful dog who loves running around outside playing fetch. Draco was not socialized with other dogs in his previous home. We believe with the right training and patience, Draco can be able to socialize with other dogs in the future, but he cannot live with another dog at this time. He has been tested with cats and was fine with them. Draco can go to a home with children 12 years old and older.

MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly.
You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.
An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
