More about this shelter

North Central has 246 kennels filled with cats, dogs, puppies and kittens desperately looking for loving homes. This is one of the largest of the six city shelters. It's right off the 5 Freeway and the 110 Freeway and is very convenient. This shelter is filled with companion animals who desperately need safe and loving homes, fosters and volunteers.

We envision the day when every pet born is ensured a good home and care all its natural life and no animal will suffer because of abuse, neglect or ignorance, and all citizens, their property and neighborhoods are safe from the dangers and nuisances of irresponsible pet guardianship.

We create happiness by bringing pets and people together. Saving animals' lives is our first priority.
