My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tate, a sweet 8 year old, 10 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Grapevine, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered.
We aren't sure what happened to Tate in these past 8 years of his life, but we do know that it wasn't pleasant. This sweet boy was picked up as a stray by a concerned citizen and taken to their local shelter. He has obviously experienced some neglect and hardship before, and we are gonna make sure he doesn't ever go through that again. He has rashes from flea infestation that foster mommy is treating with some soothing coconut oil, a severe case of dry eyes and the beginning of cataracts that luckily foster mommy and the vet are to the rescue again with some soothing drops and gel to clear up those beautiful brown eyes. And sadly, the neglect he has been through extends to his dental care. He only has two little toothies left, and because they are the upper canines and they are very loose, he will go under to have them removed because they may have started an open fistula in the bone that the vet will need to close. After all the scary doctor visits (he really was a trooper through it all!), foster mommy took him out for a spa day, and got him a pedicure and a snazzy new haircut! He is just too cute and looks so adorably dapper these days!

Foster mommy is sad about all the hardship he has endured, but lil Tate has let go of that horrible past. He is a happy loving little guy despite all the hardship he has experienced! He is even figuring out how the whole "playing with toys" thing works and won't be long before he locates the mysterious squeaker. Tate has formed a few hobbies: riding in the car with Foster mommy and giving the side eye until he gets his pup cups from the drive through, riding in the stroller to the park, followed by a wiggle around the park to sniff the leaves and watch the squirrels, and a leisurely stroller ride back to the house to enjoy his other favorite activity: cuddle time! He is a cute and cuddly little guy who loves to just be with his human! Tate has had a rough road through life so far, and we are looking for that special someone to love and spoil this little guy to make up for those hard years he has endured. If you have room for this special baby in your heart, please fill out an application today!
