Howdy hi, I’m Moose and if you are looking for a playful pal, I am your guy! I am a sprightly one year old yellow lab with a passion for retrieving my ball, snuggling with my foster family and sniffing outside. When you list characteristics of labradors, I tick each box - I love to chase squirrels, play with dogs, and am the most food motivated learner you’ll ever meet.
I have been practicing new tricks (mostly since I learned they feed me a snackie if I do it right) and now I can sit, “off”, “crate”, “touch”, “wait”, “drop” and “place” when asked! I know what you are thinking… I really am SUCH a good boy! Something I love even more than treatos is playing fetch with my ball. I can go so fast and will always bring it back to your feet for more! Romping around with other dogs is another way I love to play…I learn so much from them. Do you have a magical frozen box?...I have recently discovered an affinity for pieces of ice. My foster mom can open the freezer while I am sound asleep and I am there in an instant, waiting for my piece of ice!
I am confident, fearless and kind to all people and dogs. I have never met a stranger and treat everyone like my next belly rub! I am a certified people pleaser and will do just about anything for your love and affection. I just want to be nearby people who love me. When asked, my foster mom said this about me, “He has the cutest little howl and very pretty hazel eyes. He is a super fast learner and big sweetheart to everyone he meets. Moose just loves to play with his human and dogs. He is a big lover who is always wagging his tail. He likes to be close to his humans and is always laying at our feet.” I mean, come on, I really AM a good boy! I told you!
I have a bit of growing up to do before I will be considered a good walker, but for now I enjoy my 15-20 minutes of retrieving and sniffing in the backyard four times a day. If you have made it this far, thank you! I really can’t wait to meet you!
I am a lovable furry friend with a personality as bright as my yellow coat! I am a happy-go-lucky pooch with a heart full of love, and I am always ready to shower my humans with plenty of wet kisses and tail wags. I make a wonderful companion. If you enjoy interacting with your dog through play and games, I am definitely the dog for you!
