This little charmer used to be fond of dogs but now prefers a more independent lifestyle. She is incredibly affectionate, making her a perfect companion for both single-cat households and socialized multi-cat environments. Cats who test positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) can still live healthy and long lives due to several factors. FIV-positive cats can maintain good health with proper care, nutrition, and regular veterinary check-ups. Although the virus weakens the immune system, cats can still fight off infections and diseases with appropriate management. FIV-positive cats should be kept indoors to reduce exposure to potential risks, such as fighting with other cats that could transmit secondary infections. With a loving and supportive environment, FIV-positive cats can lead fulfilling lives, enjoying a good quality of life despite their condition.
Research shows FIV is only transmitted through deep blood-drawing bite wounds. FIV+ cats can happily live in socialized multi-cat households.
