My name is Zipdaee and I am an 80 pound happy, fun and well behaved boy. My rescue thinks I am a Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix. I have a beautiful white coat with a golden tint.
I love training, know some basic obedience and am very focused on my handler. I am friendly with people and at a recent adoption event I got to say hi and meet lots of people who were nice and gave me pets, including some older children (7+). I also don't mind getting brushed. It feels so good! I walk great on a leash and I’m down for just about anything—an easy walk around the neighborhood, playing lots of fetch, or just chilling with you while you catch up on your favorite Netflix series.
I was in a short term foster home, but am currently in a boarding kennel that is going out of business. I really need a foster or adopter or I might have to go back to the shelter. I did not have any accidents in my foster home, and my foster family said I was good about staying out of trouble while they were away. I love squeaky toys – I think they’re literally the best thing ever! And, I enjoy car rides, especially when I get to stick my head out the window!
I love it when you come home from a long day away, so get ready for my happy dance and kisses! I’m not always sure about the best way to meet other dogs, but I’d be happy to learn all I can with your guidance. I hear small animals also are not my thing – they’re just so darn tempting to chase!

More about this rescue
We are a non-profit rescue organization who helps rescue dogs and sometimes other animals from Contra Costa Animal Services as well as other local shelters; usually the scared, overlooked or often the ones off the euthanasia list. We also rescue dogs who have been injured or abandoned trying to keep them from having to go into the shelter after looking for an owner. We then place them in foster homes to decompress and learn to be part of a family as well as learn structure and boundaries. If needed and we can, we also have trainers that help prepare our dogs for adoption.
