Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Baron – 4 – 5 years old 112lbs
Baron is an incredibly sweet, dog friendly, 112lb, German Shepherd who was saved by a Good Samaritan from a California high-kill shelter back in October after he found himself abandoned, alone and giving up all hope, in pain and suffering with a broken leg that was left unattended and on the euthanasia list. Just minutes before he was to be literally dragged into the euth-room he was rescued. Upon exit Baron was immediately taken to a well-known veterinary hospital where he was fully vetted, and an orthopedic surgeon brought in to put in a plate and 10 screws to fix his leg. In rehab for months at the vet, when released and sent to CT it was noted when he arrived he had what we were told was a scratch, in fact it was an ominous sign of what our wonderful vets determined was a problem with the plate in his leg and we were sent to a local specialist who quickly assess his leg needed another surgery to now remove that plate that was placed to eliminate a severe infection that had settled in his leg and bone. Today we are pleased to share that his leg is doing very well, and we are in process of rehab and trying to reassure this very sweet boy that he can walk normally and will remain pain free.
Baron is a well behaved, calm, people and dog friendly dog that has moderate energy, likes to walk on beach, in the park, and in town where he draws quite a crowd in awe of his incredible classy, good looks and soft eyes and stunning long coat. He would do well with older children (might be too big for small children but we don’t know about cats or other small and farm animals.
