My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meeeoooloooow. My name is MISHOO (Mishul) and here is a little info about me:
Breed: Tabby Tiger
Age: 2 yrs
Gender: male
Weight: 7-1/2 lbs
Highlight(s): calm, nearly blind in one eye, cuddly, timid, sensitive, playful

Want a big orange cuddlebug? Here I am. Don't you just love my big ol' bat ears?

Found on the road side dying due to an accident in the Middle East, I was taken to the hospital. I recovered, though I lost & broke some front teeth and lost much of my vision in one eye.

I can't see very well out of the one eye, but get around just fine. The vet said with some eyedrops it may help. My rescuer crushes my food for me, so I can eat better because of my lost front teeth. A couple loose ones may still be lost yet.

I can be timid and get scared of loud noises. I get along fine with other cats, so long as they don't bully me. I have been bullied in the past, so prefer chilled out interactions. I tend to be afraid of dogs and will run under the bed away from them. I was so scared in the beginning and have really learned my name Mishul, so it would be good to keep that name. Trivia: my name in Persian means lovely and cute cat. Exactly what I am.

I'd like a home with a patient family, who can see how lovely and kind I am. I infrequently meow. I'd do fine with another calm kitty or two to play with. A quieter household would suit me best. One that lacks dog best or at least a calm one who won't chase after me. Also, older more subdued children are probably ok, as I love to play with them.

I'm sure once I get accustomed to my new home, I will be more relaxed. I do bond very well with my people. I like to sleep in my rescuer's arms at night and call her at the door if she doesn't take me to her room. So you see, I am a sensitive, loving guy.

Energy Level: moderate

I get along with:
Dogs: unknown
Cats: yes
Kids: unknown

Fears: loud noises. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.

Training:
House trained: Yes. Please be prepared to help me learn where to go in my new home, as I am used to going in an earthen pot.

Health notes: I am blind in one eye & may need some additional vet checks for it. I have some missing & broken teeth.
I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated.

My adoption fee is $250.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.

More about this rescue

Loved At Last Dog Rescue operates in the Greater Vancouver area. We rescue and rehome local dogs as well as homeless dogs from numerous countries around the world, including Mexico, Korea, China, Iran, Kuwait, Bahrain and India. Many of these dogs have experienced hardship and cruelty yet they are gentle and loving. We have found that dogs who have experienced suffering appreciate every kindness shown them. All our dogs are fully vaccinated, microchipped and those over 6 months are spayed or neutered.
