My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Merlin, a beautiful blue-eyed Flame Point Siamese, has done a complete 180 since being brought into foster from a horrible hoarding situation. He started out terrified, he would hardly move and made absolutely no sounds, basically petrified in place. It took a long time but once he decided he could trust people he became another cat!

Merlin is blind. You would hardly know that he can't see. He cruises around with no problem, in fact, one of the first places he figured out how to get to was up on a very high bed because this boy LOVES to snuggle! He works overtime in the biscuit factory, begs for pets, meows for attention, seeks out your lap on the couch, all of the sweet things! He also likes his alone time too, finding little hidey holes to chill in occasionally but for the most part, he is the king of the bed!

You don’t need an alarm clock with this guy around, he will let you know feeding time is here and in the sweetest way, he flips and flops around on his back asking for pets and rubs his sweet little face all over you so you don’t forget its time to eat! His favorite pastime is to play, it is adorable to watch as he brings his favorite toys to the middle of a room so he has the most space to play and hopefully not lose track of his toy of choice. Sometimes he does though, so the system his fosters have set up is to gather up all his toys a few times a day and put them in his favorite hang-out spot so he can always go grab another, it works great!

He does need to be an only cat, Other cats terrify him, probably because he had to compete for food in his previous situation and was at a severe disadvantage due to his blindness. He would also do best in a home where someone is around most of the time because he is very affectionate and loves to play and since he cannot get that from another cat, his humans need to be able to be there for him. He would do ok with older children but no dogs.

His personality is only growing by the day and his fosters are blown away by what a sweet, chill, and fun little guy he is becoming. He has a lifetime of love to give to the right people and deserves a great home!

We think he is a couple years old. He's in Anchorage. Call 907 980-8898
