Hi my name is Avery. I showed up at the shelter with two puppies that were quickly adopted, but I was left behind. Thankfully my nice new friends at ALIVE Memphis met me and saved me. I’m currently in a foster home with two other dogs, and two very kind people. I’m good with their dogs but I love people! Human affection is my love language.
I love to play in the backyard and my run style has been described as bunny hops. When my foster family has friends over I greet them nicely-no stranger danger over here. Tug and fetch aren’t my games, but I’m yet to meet a plush toy I don’t want to play with. My foster home isn’t just full of love, but I’m also learning while here too. So far I have mastered sit, down, wait, and free. Not too shabby for a rural shelter dog huh?
