My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dunkin is a quiet dog, but is a dog that can connect well with an individual. He was surrendered to die in an animal control, then adopted and brought back to be put back on the die list. He needs to be in a home by himself. He gets along well with some small dogs but can be unsure with large ones. He loves attention, to ride in the car and will make a great companion if you are aware of his foibles and are willing to work around them and trough them. He can get aggressive toward a groomer when it comes to his feet and head. Therefore will need sedation for grooming. He needs someone that will love him in spite of his abuse and neglect in his younger life and give him a much better loving one no matter what.

Additional adoption info

our donation fee is a minimum $300 for adult already fixed dogs and $150 for puppies not done yet. For cats it is a minimum of $75 to pay for spay/neuter and vaccines, flea meds. There are rare times when an animal has had extensive medical treatments that we might ask if you can donate more, but we just want the animals in a home that will care for them their entire remaining lifetime. More about this rescue

I have been working toward a no kill shelter for 20+ years and am still doing that. In southern Texas it is hard to accomplish. I do it because of all the thrown away animals that are in the streets of this county. The dogs people throw from their cars and leave to starve breaks my heart and if i can help one than i have done the job God gave me to do.
